Incidents and Disasters Resilience (IDR)
The journal of Incidents and Disasters Resilience (IDR) is a specialized publication in the field of disasters, publishing articles in Persian with English abstracts. Its scope includes disaster management, risk prevention and reduction (including early warning indicators, forecasting, damage estimation, theories, algorithms, and risk assessment models), disaster preparedness, response, recovery and rehabilitation after disasters, resilience, technology and innovation in disaster management, participatory and community-based approaches, and disaster risk governance. Given the difficulty in distinguishing between human-made and natural hazards, submitted articles may address disasters resulting from natural hazards such as earthquakes and storms, or human-made hazards such as road accidents.
In accordance with Article 13 of the Press Law ratified on March 18, 1986, by the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and with the approval of the Supervisory Board of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in its meeting dated February 18, 2025, the publication license for the journal of Incidents and Disasters Resilience (IDR) was issued in Persian and English, with quarterly publication frequency, national distribution, and magazine format. The license was granted to the Natural Disasters Research Institute under registration number 97381, dated March 20, 2025.
All articles submitted to the journal of Incidents and Disasters Resilience (IDR) undergo an initial screening and are subject to a double-blind peer review process by at least two expert reviewers. Final acceptance and publication are contingent upon approval by the editorial board. Authors and researchers are kindly requested to prepare their manuscripts according to the journal's submission guidelines and to submit them through the journal's online system.
